Spot Signs of Melanoma and Skin Cancer with MASCED Accreditation

MASCED – A life saving educational accreditation program for the those working in the hairdressing and barbering sectors.

The MASCED accreditation (melanoma and skin cancer early detection programme) has been developed by national skin cancer charity ‘Skcin’ to educate hair and barbering industry professionals on the detection of suspicious lesions that may be observed on their client’s skin, often in places they cannot see themselves.

Hairdressers and barbers have key and vital roles to play in communities nationwide to sign post their clients to their GP. The objective of the accreditation is to raise awareness of the early signs and symptoms of the UK’s most common and fastest rising cancer and promote the early detection of melanoma to improve prognosis and save lives.

The online e-course accreditation is only £25 and can be completed at MASCED.UK. Over 14,000 learners have taken the training, with 98% giving it a 5-star review.
