Why The Hair Council matters

In our sector, currently anyone can practice as a hairdresser or barber without any qualifications or training.

To become a State recognised professional, our members have to provide evidence of their qualications and training. Find one of our professionals and you know you’ll be in safe hands.

Why use a State Registered Hair professional?

All State Registered Hairdressers have trained to at least NVQ Level 2,or equivalent, giving them a strong foundation in the key skills required to keep you safe
